Cookie Policy
How website technologies work, the role of the hosting platform, and the choices available to visitors.
About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains the role of cookies and similar technologies on the Loxmere Analytics website. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy. This policy takes effect on October 12, 2026, and was last updated on that date. Cookie use depends on the Shopify platform, the active theme, and any tools enabled for the website.
The policy describes categories and choices rather than claiming that every possible cookie is present. A particular visit may involve different technologies according to the pages used, browser settings, region, and consent choices. Where a consent interface or cookie information panel is available, its current inventory and settings are the best source for the tools active during that visit.
What cookies and similar technologies do
A cookie is a small text file that a website or service stores through your browser. It can allow a later request to be associated with an earlier visit or a saved preference. A cookie does not by itself give the website access to all files on your device. Cookies may be set by the site you visit or by a provider whose services are used on the page.
Similar technologies can include local storage, session storage, pixels, and other browser-based identifiers. Their privacy implications depend on the purpose and information involved. Technical request logs are not themselves browser cookies, but they may also contain information such as an IP address, browser details, and request time. Personal information associated with these technologies is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Necessary website functions
Some technologies are reasonably necessary to deliver the website, maintain security, remember a privacy choice, or provide a function explicitly requested by a visitor. Shopify may use platform technologies for network delivery, security, session management, or consent handling. These functions can be required for the site or a requested feature to operate correctly.
Necessary technologies should be used only for their essential purpose. They should not be described as necessary merely because they are convenient for advertising or audience measurement. Depending on applicable law, technologies that are strictly necessary may not require the same consent as optional tools. You can usually block them in your browser, but doing so may affect the site’s operation or the persistence of your settings.
Preferences and functionality
Preference technologies can remember choices such as display settings or other optional features so that the website behaves consistently during a later visit. A privacy preference record can have a different role from a purely cosmetic preference because it records a choice that the website must honor.
Not every visible interaction requires a cookie. A menu opening, a service description expanding, or a form confirmation appearing can be handled without persistent browser storage. This distinction does not determine how the hosting platform processes its own technical records. Optional preference tools, if enabled, should be used in accordance with the consent or other requirements that apply to the visitor.
Website analytics
Visitor analytics, if enabled, can help a website operator understand aggregate activity, page use, technical problems, or performance. Depending on the tool, information may include pages viewed, approximate device or browser characteristics, visit timing, and identifiers used to associate activity. Analytics tools should be assessed for the personal information they process and the choices they must respect.
The presence of “Analytics” in our business name refers to the data services we provide to clients. It does not by itself mean that an advertising pixel or optional visitor-tracking tool is enabled on the website. Optional visitor analytics should be activated only when the required consent or other lawful conditions are satisfied. Any material change in enabled tools should be reflected in the website’s consent information and privacy disclosures.
Marketing and advertising technologies
Marketing technologies can be used to measure advertising, associate a visit with a campaign, or tailor content across services. Their use may involve third-party providers and additional privacy obligations. They are not necessary simply to read our service information or make an enquiry.
This policy does not authorize undisclosed marketing tools or the use of client datasets for unrelated advertising. If marketing technologies are introduced, the website’s settings and notices should identify the purpose and provide the choices required by applicable law before those technologies are used. A visitor’s refusal of optional marketing should be respected without reclassifying that activity as a necessary function.
Shopify and third-party tools
The site is hosted on Shopify. Shopify’s platform may supply cookies and other technologies relating to delivery, security, functionality, privacy choices, and services available through the active configuration. Different Shopify features and apps can introduce different technologies. A cookie associated with a checkout or account feature is relevant only if that feature is actually used on the website.
Other tools, such as apps, embedded content, or optional integrations, may have their own technologies and retention rules. We should review a tool before enabling it and align its operation with the site’s privacy settings. A provider’s independent processing is governed by its own responsibilities as well as any agreement with the website operator. Do not assume that a generic list of Shopify cookies is a precise inventory of every cookie on this particular site.
Session and persistent storage
Session cookies generally last for a browser session or the period needed for the requested function. Persistent cookies or storage entries can remain after a browser is closed until they expire or are deleted. A retention period should be proportionate to the purpose, and optional identifiers should not be kept indefinitely without justification.
The actual lifetime of a platform or third-party cookie is determined by the relevant tool and configuration and may change when that tool is updated. Clearing browser data can remove stored preferences, including a saved consent choice. If the website can no longer retrieve that choice, it may ask you to make the choice again.
Consent and changing your choice
Where consent is required for an optional technology, it should be requested before that technology is used. Available choices should allow the visitor to accept or refuse optional categories and, where supported, choose them separately. Consent should not be inferred solely from silence or from continuing to read the website in a location where an affirmative choice is required.
Use the website’s privacy or cookie controls, when displayed, to review or change your selection. If the active platform provides a privacy preference link or banner, those controls should communicate your choice to the tools they govern. A changed choice applies to future activity; it does not automatically erase information previously collected under a valid permission. Contact us if you cannot find the controls or have a concern about how a choice has been respected.
Browser controls and privacy signals
Most browsers allow you to view stored cookies, delete site data, block some cookies, or limit third-party storage. Settings vary by browser and device. Blocking all storage may interfere with necessary functions or prevent the site from remembering a choice. Private browsing can limit persistence on your device, but it does not necessarily prevent technical information from being processed by a hosting provider.
Some browsers or extensions send privacy signals, including Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. The legal effect and technical support for a signal can differ. We will honor signals where applicable law requires us to do so and where the relevant platform can apply the choice. A browser signal does not replace a direct request for access, correction, or deletion of information associated with an identifiable client engagement.
Keeping this policy current
We may update this policy when the platform, theme, enabled tools, or legal requirements change. The last-updated date identifies the current version. If a new purpose requires consent, an existing choice should not be silently treated as permission for that unrelated purpose.
Questions about cookie categories, browser storage, website privacy choices, or a suspected unwanted technology can be sent using the details below. Include the page concerned, approximate time, browser, and the issue you observed where that will help us investigate. Do not include passwords, payment credentials, or unrelated sensitive personal information.
